THE BIG IDEA

The coolest coworking space ever?!

The Coven

Designed by Studio BV, The Coven coworking place in Saint Paul, MA, is one of the most vibrant and cozy coworking spaces we’ve ever come across.

The story behind it is just as inspiring as the interiors themselves! The Coven, which caters to working women exclusively, was designed specifically to encourage women’s empowerment. The warm, bright spaces utilize various color patterns and materials to reflect the individuality and uniqueness of each of The Coven’s members. 🎨

On-site, the premises feature conference rooms, private office spaces, a kitchen, a prayer space, as well as childcare services for working mothers. Members can also make use of a virtual clinic, facilitated by Nice Healthcare, which provides them with primary care, prescriptions and mental health support. 🤱

Have you ever used a coworking space like The Coven?

📝 MONDAY’S TO DO:

Strike a power pose! 🦸 This tricks your brain into thinking that you’re more confident than you feel. Do this in the morning (and every morning), and you’ll find that you feel bolder throughout the day.

TODAY’S ADVICE

Mind your language 🗣️

What we say at work — and how we say it — can have a big impact on the people we’re speaking to and how they perceive us. And often much more than we even realize.

In fact, inadvertently saying the wrong thing can tarnish our reputation, ruin workplace relationships and even hurt our chances for advancement. 😱

And we’re not talking about dropping the occasional F-bomb. We’re talking about using negative language that demonstrates a no-can’t-do attitude and a lack of respect — like “I can’t help you out. I don’t know how to do that.”

What you should be using instead is positive language like “Let me find out what the proper procedures are, and I’ll get back to you”, which is informative, proactive and helpful. 👍

This, ultimately, shows your enthusiasm, professionalism and eagerness to solve an issue — making you a star employee.

Decorating the office on a budget 🎃

Halloween

Halloween is 3 weeks away! If you haven’t decorated the office yet (and you totally should — think of it as your most fun team-building activity yet!), we have some tips to share on decorating on a budget.

✂️ Make your own props, such as garlands and paper cutouts.

♻️ Use what’s already available. Ask your coworkers if they have decorations at home they can part with.

💡 Let your imagination roam. Everyday objects can easily double as props and decorations, such as red fallen leaves.
